Calming Room
Need a quiet, relaxing space to calm down?
If so, you are at the right place!
I know it is not easy to navigate being a high
school student with all the pressure to earn
good grades, fit in with your friends and deal
with stressors outside of school.
This is why the Calming Room was created.
For a space to just be.
SHOULD I GO TO THE CALMING ROOM?
Do you need a quiet space to get grounded, re-centered or calm down (self-regulate)?
Do you need a space to learn some skills on how to self-regulate and practice them?
Do you need a break of no more than 20 minutes?
Can you agree to not using cell phones or any tech while in the Calming Room?
Need someone to talk to? Check in with your academic counselor or trusted adult.
Have an issue with a teacher or student? Check in with your Assistant Principal.
Need support with issues outside of school?Fill out a COST referral by using the QR code.
If you answered YES to ALL of the questions above, then the Calming Room IS the place
for you.
