Parents and community members wishing to volunteer outside of the classroom (i.e. fieldtrips) must adhere to District policy and complete the required documents.

(Classroom volunteers only need an application packet and TB clearance.)

Step 1: Volunteer completes and returns the Volunteer Application Packet to the School Office Manager. .

Step 2: Volunteer gets TB test and returns results to Office Manager(volunteer must pay $61 fee).

Step 3: Once the completed application is approved by the school administrator, volunteer will receive the Fingerprint Authorization Form. Volunteer is to contact the Parent Resource Center (723-3857 ext. 34102) to schedule an appointment for Live Scan fingerprinting.

Here’s what to expect at your fingerprinting appointment:

 The appointment should take about 15 minutes

 You must have a signed Fingerprint Authorization Form

 You must have acceptable form (s) of identification

 You will be photographed for your volunteer badge

 The charge for fingerprint processing is $61. 00

(Cash, money orders and personal checks are accepted)

Step 4: HUSD Human Resources contacts School Office Manager once fingerprints and background check is complete.  Volunteer is notified of clearance by School Office Manager and is cleared to start volunteering.
